I heard the “hell is not real” position so many times when I visited churches in college. Always dressed up in some veneer that sounded liberating, when it’s actually such an imprisoning belief. Too often we blame a lack of fruit on God's timing, when He's already given us what we need to grow. He's entrusted us with His Spirit, His Word, and access to His wisdom. The question is whether we'll steward what He's placed in our hands.

The more you pursue God's wisdom, the more effective you'll become. Not because you're striving harder, but because you're learning to partner with the One who called you.

🧠It takes ~6-7 years of college to become a mental health professional.

The DSM (the defining text that defines every mental disorder) tends to get rewritten every ~6-9 years.

So every new wave of therapists is trained on a different “truth” than the one before.

Meanwhile, each new edition generates tens of millions for the American Psychiatric Association.

The title of the DSM is changing to: the Diagnostic & "Scientific" Manual of Mental Disorders. This is marketing doublespeak. DSM's construction isn't governed by 'science', but by culturally-situated judgments & the biases of reaching decisions by committee votes & 'consensus'.

Thank you for calling this out. We tend to think love requires blind acceptance. But love doesn't accept or celebrate identities that harm people. It calls us to reflect the divine image in one another. And that certainly doesn't look like standing by while little girls are exploited or enslaved.

Oh man, this hurts to watch. The language Joy Behar uses to psychologize Jesus (clearly without knowing what the Bible actually says) shows how much mental-health speak has infected our thinking.

Calling someone (let alone Jesus) narcissistic for saying who they are is pure projection. It's the most self-focused reading imaginable.

Plus, he said who he was for our sake, not his.

If it makes you feel small when someone else steps into their God-given identity and power, that's your psychological issue, not theirs.

AI scares me. It should scare you too. But that doesn't mean we can avoid it. It's already here and is an inescapable reality in our world.

We need to psychologically train people for this the way psychology itself was originally meant to help us understand and respond to the human mind (before it got crafted into something that far oversteps that). We have to learn how AI works, what it is, and what it isn't.

I'm seeing people blacklist it in ways that will hurt humans, not AI. Example: a foundation that won't give grants if they suspect AI was used in writing a proposal. The problem? We're really bad at accurately identifying when AI was used. Academic writing, even when completely original, gets flagged as AI all the time.

Hilariously, while digging into this, I found that many AI detectors flag intelligent writing as "AI," then offer a paid service to "humanize" it. The irony is devastating.

However noble the intention to avoid AI, we can't. We don't know enough about it, and attempts to avoid it without understanding it often punish people, not the technology. If our resistance makes us passive or ignorant to it, we'll get beat by it.
