Welcome back, teachers- ready to make the 25-26 school year unforgettable? We are here to support you with the Learning Happens Here Field Trip Fund, which reimburses costs to visit any of the 100+ sites/programs managed by the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
The fund reimburses:
Transportation costs (including charter buses when needed)
Admission or special activity fees
Substitute reimbursement when necessary for the trip.
Meals for students with financial need
Acceptance rate for fund requests is 98%!
Join us for family fun & experiment molding a medium that’s older than dirt! Learn the pinch-pot pottery technique to craft & decorate a clay container just like the people of Town Creek did 1,000 years ago. This activity is $3 per person & offered at 10am, 12pm, & 2pm.
1st Saturdays @ Town Creek: Atlatl Day!
Visit Town Creek June 7 & learn to use an ice aged spear thrower. Proceeds benefit The Friends of Town Creek Indian Mound Inc., which supports programs at Town Creek.
Activity Times: 10am, 12pm, and 2pm
Cost: $3 per person.
