@arsenalist@raptorsrepublic Thank you for all the work in setting up and running RR. It's a site I always enjoyed and as a casual fan, you could see the passion throughout the whole site. Congrats on the sale!
Grateful for the opportunity to speak about 🇯🇵-🇨🇦relations at @MemorialU’s "21st Global Business Seminars" on business in East Asia. It was an honour to speak in front of many students alongside the Ambassadors of 🇰🇷 & 🇲🇳. The exchange of ideas was enlightening! - Amb. Yamanouchi
At the closing ceremony of the NL Winter Games. Great job by the organizers for the closing ceremony. Cool getting to sing the Ode to NL and hum La Marisaillaise (St.Pierre et Miquelon participating) at the same event. Congrats to my son's team in winning a silver in basketball!
To the skeet who broke into my car and stole my yoga bag...I hope you take the mat and blocks, practice yoga, and become less of a skeet. Also, the shorts in the bag are used. Finally, if someone sees a black North Face backpack in the Churchill Park area, send me a DM!
One of my students recommended that I try the Dall.e2 AI around image generation. I asked it to do a modernist painting of St. John's - thought it was pretty cool and worth a share. Took about 20 secs to generate...
@merschrod Hi Erika - the last two searches for Dean of the FBA (in 2017 and 2010 I believe) were open. Cannot imagine why it would not be again. And by 'open' I interpret it as short-listed candidates present to the faculty on their vision and meet with outside stake holders as needed.
@dereksullivan_ @jrwheels82 I bought my elliptical from Canadian Tire just before the pandemic. The second one that I bought from Nordic Track. The first one lasted 13 years and was great. This one lasted two(ish) years, and that was it. Agree on buying local - will be my strategy going forward.
@yytsnf@BerniceCBC Thanks Mike. I appreciate the clarification. Wasn't sure it was US or unnamed, just k ew that they did not mention MUN or MI. If you read the article then - crazy stuff on the whistleblowing lawsuit?!
@BerniceCBC@yytsnf Thanks Bernice! The NYer mentioned that students helped design the electrical but nothing about where they were from and their exact role. I was more interested in the whistleblowing angle - seemed like a CEO and a company out of control.
@yytsnf Indeed. The New Yorker was, as you can imagine, quite scathing. There was a whistle-blower who was sued and was forced to drop the complaint. They seemed to use the threat of litigation to create unnecessary risks for their clients and the industry. Sad and unnecessary disaster.
