This Spring, Dr. @tomascol, President and Professor of Pastoral Theology, taught Ecclesiology, a class that considers the biblical foundations, theological concerns, historical development, and practical responsibilities with particular emphasis on the role of local churches in the post-modern world.

Followers of the “congregational way,” Baptists have worked to develop a theologically integrated ecclesiology, and this course explores the contours of that development by introducing the nature and work of the church.

Regarding this class, Dr. Ascol shared, “A confessionally Baptist view of the church is a theologically integrated ecclesiology. What we believe about God, man, Christ, and salvation informs how we live in the church.”
