@FortniteStatus ...kick you out in the other instance. And then you are in.

You can use a PC, XBox, Switch (if your account is connected) or just the XBox Cloud Gaming. You dont need a subscription for it and you can start it in Chrome on your phone without the need of an extra controller.

@FortniteStatus So yesterday it was just eternal "Connecting". Today it's always "Login Timed Out" after "Creating Party" on PS4.

But I found a workaround: Log into your Fortnite on another device and stay in the Lobby. Then try the Playstation and it will eventually continue connecting and ...
