@NathanStall How about long COVID? We just don’t know the long-term effects of such extreme hypoxia, clotting and systemic inflammation, all of which are significant insults to the body. It’s not fear, just common sense.

@DrEricDing I have lived and worked in six war zones. Wars are terrible for animals, children, women and men. I can speculate that trench warfare might well be ideal for airborne viruses.

@chartinael @world_epidemic There are a huge number of animals that are susceptible to COVID infection. Google it. I was really surprised. If I recall, cats and Guinea pigs can get COVID, but animals may or may not be able to infect humans.

@McFaul It is not uncommon for hospitals in Ukraine, and elsewhere, to keep a blood donor book with phone numbers. When there is an emergency/trauma case, they begin calling people on the list, to come in and donate blood.
