@UnitedWayGKC Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of this fun project and for all you do for our mission. The toddlers in our Yellow Emoji classroom had fun painting the canvas then our staff got to finish it off.
Congratulations to @wlreagan13! @investinothers awarded her an honorable mention in the Emerging Impact category for her work with @tcpkc.
Thank you for your dedication and incredible work toward positively impacting our communities!
Have you had a chance to see our new mural yet? It's visible over our playground, but you can even catch a glimpse while driving north on Troost toward our building.

Our Young Ambassador Board has kicked off their new year! Welcome to our new Co-Chairs: Mary Crowe-Simpson and Alexandra Rodriguez.
The Young Ambassador Board meets monthly for happy hour to network and make a difference for The Children's Place.
In honor of Black History Month, our Yellow Emoji classroom learned about Garrett Morgan, the inventor of the improved traffic signal featuring a warning light to alert drivers that they would need to stop.
We loved seeing the artwork they created in honor of Morgan's invention!
Our educators have been celebrating Black History Month in the classroom all month. Our Pink Panthers classroom has been highlighting a different person from Black history every day, and we loved seeing this artwork created by our Green Sea Turtles class.
