@LongTimeHistory 1, Brazilians don’t walk from Brazil to the US. It’s way more laborious to go to Mexico and cross illegally than to just go get a visa. 2, if you’re engaged to a US Citizen you should get the fiancée visa. 3, green card is the first step towards citizenship, not the last.
@libsoftiktok@MPS_News@ICEgov A person needs to be a US citizen to run for any position that requires voting. immigrants (meaning permanent residents or greencard holders) cannot run for any office. Let alone someone that does not have a legal presence in the US.
@SenMarkey Y’all do know that this was absolutely bogus and the current president was arrested, then tried, sentenced for corruption, than freed by the Supreme Court justices that he appointed in his first term, and now going after political adversaries over manufactured accusations, right?
@Quentinimous@RubenRodInSa An air gun with that power would have recoil. Recoil is the reaction of an object in response to pushing some other object with tremendous force and or weight. To push a .30 cal pellet or slug out of an air gun that small it would have similar recoil to that of a firearm.
@danmccay@UtahSenDems Bolt action rifles with 5 round magazines have just been upgraded to “assault rifles”, “military grade”, “weapons of war” status. Now they will want to ban these, and 6 shot revolvers because of capacity. Instead of addressing the drug problem.
@SkylerforNY Both involve spending money, so republicans not wanting to spend money should not be a surprise. People voted for this because they don’t want their money spent.
As I spoke with missionaries in France, I shared a personal experience of how the lessons I learned about trusting in Jesus Christ during my mission helped me to not only endure trials as a missionary—but also later in my life.
@KelemenCari@DefiyantlyFree Non-US citizens (aliens) are treated differently for the purpose of buying a firearm depending on their status. Immigrants (legally that means someone with a green card) can buy a firearm just like citizens. Someone on a visa can also buy firearms if they have a hunting license.
@KelemenCari@DefiyantlyFree All amendments apply to everyone, although in different ways based on the law. You can’t enslave someone if they’re a foreigner. It’s one of the amendments.
@jakeshieldsajj Unless we have a serious discussion about the relationship between drug use and gun related crimes we can’t have an honest discussion about violence. People on drugs are the problem, not the tools they use to perpetrate violence.
@elonmusk Capitalism has no moral, as pointed out by Marx (1 of his few good remarks). So it’s not right or wrong, it just works for making a, price driven, decision making market. The “right” bit that is sometimes conflated with capitalism is Free Market economy. That is right, and moral.
@tedcruz It can’t be on consumption though. That disproportionately affects the people who makes less money as they spend 100% of what they make while people making more money save more and spend less as a proportion of income. Sales tax is the worst type of taxation.
@DineshDSouza That’s exactly my problem with death penalty. The state can be hijacked and corrupt actors can use it against their antagonists or just inconvenient people.
@RealGunLobbyist@GunOwners@GavinNewsom@JoeBiden I think it works really well. Keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction, finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot. Exercising gun control keeps you and other people safe. Always be in control of your gun and it will be an asset when needed. Right?
