@SleeperMariners I think you’re confusing memorability with actual value though. Not saying Cal wasn’t valuable. Obviously he was. But stereotypically what constitutes “value” when writers vote for MVP, Judge gaps Raleigh is just about every stat used to measure. Except HR and RBI

@MojoMariner However, I respect the fact that you acknowledge that Cal isn’t the CLEAR winner. I feel the same about Judge. I think Judge should win but by the narrowest margin. Cal’s season was incredible and I’m glad I was here to see it all!

@MojoMariner I think you care too much about narrative when evaluating “valuable” in MVP. For most years, it’s about stats to prove value. Cals season and all of the value he adds as a catcher is hard to capture in stats but by almost every metric used to measure value, Judge is superior.
