@RossDellenger@YahooSports I 100% agree. My reaction was to Georgia’s president’s comment that SEC teams should only play SEC teams because they will follow the rules.
@RossDellenger@YahooSports Give me a break. Mississippi did the same thing to get their QB eligible. Gonzaga did it to get Tyon eligible. How about everyone agree to abide by the NCAA rulings rather than running to a local judge for an injunction in a case that will never be heard.
I know it is a small group of our current or former students but I have always defended our students by saying that they are different. It has been a wake up call to learn that no, some are just as anti semtic as those at other schools where they hold marches and chant horrible things. It is just more hidden.
The pro Israel lobby’s effect on the race is interesting to discuss in that it was money used to campaign ads that just shared Massie’s own comments and voting record. So it wasn’t some sinister fake news situation. Massie was running ads saying that Trump endorsed him and they he voted with Trump a large percentage of the time. The ads run based on the last minute fundraising was to clarify that Trump endorsed his opponent in this election and that he voted against the BBB and the Save America act.
I hundred percent agree. But as I said, I don’t like when Israel is singled out, and the others are ignored. Most people that complain about the US’ funding to Israel either don’t know or fail to discuss is that in total we give way more to the other middle eastern countries than we do to Israel and you never hear one complaint about that. Massie never one said let’s stop giving billions of dollars to Egypt and Saudi Arabia. That’s why I don’t completely believe his act. I think we should stop giving money to everyone.
@HaloDom47 Both fair points. My concern and if you read the other back and forth is that this kind of rhetoric leads to blatant anti semitism which your friend flat out admitted to. I have given most of my professional life to GCU and have never been more sad.
And just so you know because I don’t hide it. I am Jewish. And I have dedicated the last 18 years of my life directly working with Brian Mueller to create the opportunity for Christians throughout this country be educated in the Christian worldview at the lowest possible cost. So your comments hurt bad.
@JarJarBinx21774@FearTheLopes@HaloDom47 Fine hate Israel but your comment was nazi level antisemitism. It had nothing to do with a democratic country’s policies.
@JarJarBinx21774@FearTheLopes@HaloDom47 No group is homogenous. Israel and Jews like Americans are split 50-50 on those things you’re talking about. Donald Trump is the most popular politician in Israel. How could that be if what you were saying is correct.
Come on man. I agree that that is very questionable if you are trying to create lasting peace but that land was won in a defensive war and Israel offered it back as part of a peace plan that never happened because the Palestinians sent waives of suicide bombers into Israel. Every other country on the planet would have taken it and not even considered giving it back. Israel is not perfect. No one is. But the unbelievable focus on everything the one Jewish country does is annoying. Did the right wing podcasters talk nonstop about Russians after they attacked Ukraine? Were Russians accosted in the streets, yelled at, spit on? Were there marches where Russians were demonized?
Again this is another example of how Jews are treated differently than anyone else. How many countries have expanded their borders over the past 200 years due to co quest or war and how many do you hear frequently criticized for it? I am fine with those that criticize Israel. As long as you are consistent in your vocal criticism.
@FearTheLopes@JarJarBinx21774@HaloDom47 How exactly have they changed their borders? Was it maybe because they were attacked by those that threatened to exterminate them?
Yes that is true. That is why the state of Israel exists. And why have they been expelled? Not because Jews are uniquely evil. Their religion does not teach them to kill infidels. It is because of exactly why I am responding to you smart GCU grads who seemed to have been captured by podcasters. It is because throughout history the Jews have been singled out to blame for the ills of society. Never again is here now and you guys need to make sure it doesn’t happen again because us old guys who knew people killed in the Holocaust won’t be here much longer.
That isn’t exactly true. A high percentage of Massie’s money came from foreign sources that are anti Israel. That is why I get so frustrated with the focus on the Jews. Just like those that argue about Israel, Israel and Jews seem to be held to standards that others are not. When Jews give money. Bad. When Qatar gives more money. Crickets. When Israel gets attacked and fights back. Bad. When Assad or Iran kills all of their own people. Crickets. Why is that?
