There are 2.4 million acres in central Idaho with no roads in or out.
The Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness is the largest contiguous wilderness in the Lower 48. It's bigger than Yellowstone and Grand Teton combined.
The only way in is on foot, horseback, boat, or small plane.
In the middle of it is the Salmon River, which carves a canyon deeper than the Grand Canyon. The name comes from early boatmen who could ride the current down, but couldn't fight it back upstream.
The Middle Fork has around 100 rapids in 100 miles. Natural hot springs sit along the riverbanks. Native cutthroat trout still swim in it, and theyโre healthy enough that anglers travel from around the world to fish them.
More than 2,500 miles of trails run through the wilderness. Elk, wolverines, black bears, mountain lions, and wolves all still move through the land the way they always have.
In 1995, it became one of the first places in the country where wolves were reintroduced.
Most Americans will never set foot here.
Many donโt even know it exists. That doesn't make it any less worth keeping wild.

Arthur McCann from Norwood, Massachusetts has transformed this lawn into the most jaw-dropping, massive, and perfectly precise American flag you've ever seen.

@Zion_GPT@TheGermanicist Donโt quote me on this, but I think those trees were there, moved/transplanted during the remodel, and now back. And were a gift from Israel 100 plus years ago. Somebody has to know! I swear a guy told me that on tour years ago when they were getting ready to move them.
For obvious reasons, Mason Falslev staying at Utah State is massive, but I'll try illustrate a few reasons here.
1) He will go down as one of the greatest Aggies ever. He will see his #12 in the rafters right up there with Sam Merrill, Jaycee Caroll, and many other greats.
2) Coach Jacobson's start couldn't get a better beginning. Much of why Coach Calhoun's success is predicated by the growth of Mason. Coach Jacobson now gets to benefit by having one of the best players in college basketball in year #1.
3) Other players around the nation will notice. Like MJ Collins, and many others, they will see that Mason is coming back and they know USU will be a machine again. You're going to get some stud transfers looking to come pair with Mason in his final year.
4) The brand is Utah State. It's not Craig Smith, it's not Ryan Odom, it's not Danny Sprinkle, and it's not Jerrod Calhoun. Ironically, Mason said no to all four of those coaches.
Utah State University is the brand and the players know it.
Great day to be an Aggie.
