Maybe the only program in #highered that continues to live up to hype: 3 OH colleges piloting ASAP have nearly doubled 3-year grad rates for participating students while increasing transfers to 4-year colleges by 50% https://t.co/hTZQVfXGmQ

I was shocked when I saw Jeremy’s tweet, but to hear him talk about it on air....I don’t know how he made it through. Prayers to him, his wife, and family.
My friend @JeremyWGR showed unbelievable courage today telling the story of his recent loss on the air... it's worth listening, esp for those who have gone through similar things.

I often hear, "we have always done it this way." Does that mean it has been years since we actually tried to improve the initiative. Almost everything surrounding the initiatives/processes changes, so how can we then be sure it is working at it best without reflection.
Institutions need to constantly reflect and revise their plans to improve student success. Even if their current plan is working, there is always room for improvement #IHEstudentsuccess
SUNY Buffalo increased their 4-year graduation rate from 35% to 55% by having students sign a pledge that they will try to graduate in 4 years, by requiring them to meet with an academic advisor every semester, and more #IHEstudentsuccess
Question you should ask all rising seniors right now - “Walk me through how you’re going to make your college decision.” A lot will tell you they’re not sure and that’s okay. Use it as a way to start a convo about creating a timeline or checklist of next steps. #EMchat
Great to see after I saw the beginning of American Greed last night about the #Admissions scandal. Thankfully my kids wanted to watch The Incredibles. Much better reality in this article. #EMchat https://t.co/Eu6k9TAEHt
I recently did a brief presentation on the next few years in #highered and Enrollment and this is one of the ideas I spoke about that could have a positive impact on students and schools! #EMchat#FinancialAid#Trends
Nearly two-thirds of high school seniors do not understand the cost of their college education prior to making an enrollment decision. Read how institutions can use video to inform prospective students on scholarships, net cost, fit, and value.

Great clarification on a recent survey of millentials. Articles overstate millennials' loss of interest in going to college. The truth is that 50% of the respondents said their degree was not relevant to their job. https://t.co/ubMQeIowym
I agree, but the real problem is unclear. Why are these jobs not filled? What fields of study? Why are we not preparing students? Do people want these jobs? We must understand the real problem before we can say pickier (though I agree to an extent). Not about #access to #highered
The number of job openings (7.5 million) now far exceeds the number of unemployed (6 million). The warm body hiring philosophy is officially over. We're all getting pickier. We have a talent problem. Which means we have an education problem.
It's a misunderstanding of the Gen Z student (and admissions problem). You are 100% correct, personal relationships are what this generation of students secretly needs. They are bold and confident, but need that guidance and connection. I just did a presentation on this.
Stop the 1990’s enrollment tactics. Today’s student want to connect with your university on a deeper level. Connections with current students, and admissions team. Why do some schools hide the email and photo of the entire admissions staff? They want a human connection. #EMchat
Some say communication boils down to a simple question: “Are we building a campus that works for the grown-ups here, or are we building a campus that works for the student body we’re recruiting?” https://t.co/aFWSyrUuyA
This story I wrote -- oh only a few months ago -- seems appropriate given today's news. The bottom line: admissions offices, and even financial aid offices, can't play detective. Too much to do in a short amount of time. https://t.co/sMqpg8KYjA
