Clint Keown passed away today per a social media post from a family member. A standout athlete at Memorial but also larger than life individual. Everyone had a Keown story and always enjoyed our numerous interactions. Prayers for his family and everyone impacted.
This is such a bad take
1. Kentucky beat ONE team with a winning record last season: Louisville.
Other wins were
Ball State (4-8)
EKU (5-6) (tied at halftime, lol)
Akron (2-10, dead last in MAC)
Vandy (2-10)
Florida (5-7)
Miss State (5-7)
2. Louisville beat Notre Dame by 13, top 25 Duke 23-0, NC State on the road, Miami on the road, and blew out BC, Va Tech, Murray. Close wins were IU (7) UVA (7), Ga Tech (5), NC St (3), and Miami (7).
3. Louisville faces 3 AP-ranked foes this season.
Kentucky faces 4.
UK faces 6 of 42 teams that received votes.
UofL faces 5.
As far as head-to-head metrics…
Kentucky was out-gained by 117 yards at Louisville. UK won for the same reason it has the last two years: turnovers. They got short field on multiple possessions coupled with a special teams TD.
NORMAL people see the reality. That UK is not a better team head-to-head entering this season because of any realistic metric or intangibles.
Kentucky’s coach tried to leave in the offseason, the QB play is reportedly below average once again, and UK will have to rely on its defense to win games.
Louisville, meanwhile, has improved at nearly every position.
Time to wake up and realize that voters aren’t looking at head to head results of one game when considering the entire CFB landscape. Looking into the camera won’t change that.
@Eldricks_hoes Snob. What happens if your mid club logo stinks and your rival club (upper mid) has a better logo and gear? See attached lol. First is my club, second is our rivals.
