I want to thank all of my mutuals for keeping me company on the timeline here. I’m disabled and usually alone/lonely. You all help me feel less alone.
Thank you.
FBI raided homes of several activists today for their Palestine solidarity, claiming they were engaged in 'orchestrating terror' by organizing for their university to divest from Israel. Haven't seen much media talking about it

This is the absurdity people warned about.
How are journalists meant to cover a multi-country WC if following a team to Canada or Mexico means they may not be allowed back into the US?
It’s discriminatory, impractical, and completely undermines the idea of a global tournament.
In the same breath, Israel says it’s unfair for Iran to defend Hezbollah because those are different conflicts — and then takes out its anger on humanitarian orgs delivering aid to Gaza
This is clear discrimination and political interference in sport. No team should be made to compete under conditions no other country would ever accept.
FIFA has a lot to answer for.

Pete Hegseth just slashed the military's list of religious identities from 200+ options to 31.
Gone? Humanist, Atheist, Pagan, and dozens of Christian denominations.
There's no reason for this. It's pure sabotage.

So the “ceasefire” would effectively cede southern Lebanon to Israel without any promise by Israel to stop attacking.
Hezbollah has declined this offer.
Starting this month, more than 900 deep-sea ocean sensors will be pulled out of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans off the coast of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, North Carolina and Greenland. https://t.co/jmm86WQNcY
New: No state has taken over as many public school districts as Texas. Since 2020, the Texas Education Agency has installed its own hand-picked leaders in eight districts. Four of those came just this spring. At least another 10 are at risk of takeover. https://t.co/BqytEicsm6
Let it be known far and wide that Democratic leaders @RepJeffries@RepGregoryMeeks@RepAdamSmith@JAHimes might vote against ending U.S. support for the Israeli war on Lebanon.
That would put them on record as supporting Israel’s intentional killings of dozens of journalists, well over 100 medical workers, over 200 children, entire families, over 3,400 people since March 2.
That would mean they’re okay with Israel blowing up entire Lebanese villages, destroying over 50,000 homes and displacing over a million people in a publicly stated plan to empty a fifth of Lebanon of its inhabitants.
If they vote against @RepRashida’s resolution, they are giving their stamp of approval to these horrific, unforgivable crimes against the Lebanese people. And we won’t forget it.
💢 ICU Patients Die After Israeli Strike Knocks Out Hospital Systems in Tyre
Some of the intensive care patients at Jabal Amel Hospital in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre died after an Israeli strike near it knocked out the facility’s power, oxygen, and life-support systems, Press TV journalist Hadi Hoteit reported.
➤ The casualty toll from Monday’s attack rose to 13 killed according to local media. At least four were killed and 127 wounded at the hospital, including 39 members of the hospital’s medical, nursing, and administrative staff, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).
➤ The strike destroyed a residential building opposite the hospital, causing extensive damage to one of the last hospitals in southern Lebanon still providing intensive care, surgery, and pediatric services.
➤ Channel 4 reported that a large apartment block directly across from the hospital was reduced to rubble in the attack.

⭕️ NYT Called Every Major Gaza City a “Hamas Stronghold,” New Book Documents
A new book by media critic Adam Johnson, How to Sell a Genocide: The Media’s Complicity in the Destruction of Gaza, documents how the New York Times used the term “Hamas stronghold” 154 times between October 2023 and October 2024, almost always while reporting on war crimes or pending war crimes.
Johnson shows the paper applied the label to all five of Gaza’s most populated cities, including refugee camps like Jabaliya, where an Israeli strike killed upwards of 120 people in an October 2023 attack. The NYT headline read: “Israel Strike Targets Hamas Stronghold in Dense Gaza Area.”
The book argues the framing militarized civilian areas in the public imagination to justify their destruction.
I read the article.
A group of guys were yelling slurs at her, but ofc they denied this.
One man shoved her down, injuring her spine.
She was then on the ground & outnumbered.
She pulled her handgun, chambered a round to scare them, but never fired.
How is it not self defense?
🚨 AP: Israeli soldiers testimony on “relishing” kills in Gaza during ‘ceasefire,’ 922 Palestinians killed since October
Three Israeli reservists gave the AP firsthand accounts of shoot-to-kill orders, soldiers celebrating kills, and contempt for Palestinian lives, particularly near the yellow line dividing Gaza since the October “ceasefire.”
Key findings:
▪️ Soldiers described teammates celebrating after striking a vehicle of Palestinians near the yellow line, killing everyone inside — likely a reference to the October killing of the Abu Shaaban family in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, in which Israeli tank fire killed 11 family members in a civilian vehicle. AP did not identify the incident by name
▪️ Rules of engagement were “extremely permissive” — with shoot-to-kill orders for anyone crossing the invisible line, including civilians who may not have known where it was
▪️ Strikes were sometimes called in based on a “hunch,” with troops too far away to identify threats
▪️ An internal aid group report said Israeli strikes have become “increasingly proactive”
▪️ Deaths near or over the yellow line increased more than 25% from January to April, reaching 73 in April alone
“To call it a ceasefire is a joke,” one soldier told AP.

Nebraska governor just casually says that we need to restrict speech in the U.S. that criticizes Israel because “Palestinians…are born to kill Jews and Christians. We have to stand up and deal with reality.”
