I think my favorite parts of writing papers with my colleague is indeed doing the figures, we spend quite a lot of enjoyable time on them. Although after we decided on the "bone_r" color palette, for obvious reasons, making plots has been a bit more straightforward lately...

On another note, apparently I was preparing myself for writing grant proposals since a very young age. Unfortunately funding institutions would probably not accept "personal reasons" as valid.

My parents found "letters" I wrote, officially requesting completely random things (like having food in the living room), had them signed and everything. I vaguely remember loving bureacuratical stuff. 25 years later, I live in the country of immense bureaucracy... Yay??.....

What if it turns out the aliens are real and pose an extinction risk to humanity and the only way to stop them is with being sensible but we just can't cease paralleling cognition with matrix multiplication. Wouldn't that be embarrassing.
