@sw6inno Not really, empires long predate capitalism e.g., mongols, romans, spain and portugal. Back then it was more about religion, state/dynastic power and conquest than capitalism. Capitalism arguably made colonialism more industrial, but it didn't start it, nor cause all the deaths.
