@MitsuiMasashi Back in my childhood (1980s) when I used to ride them, they all had a trapezoid shaped engine cover that could be lifted. These look quite beat up.
@MitsuiMasashi It was called 'Tempo Hanseat' and made in India by Bajaj auto under licence from a German firm called Vidal and Sohn. I rode these in my childhood.
If Ahmedabad doesn’t wake up now, this centuries-old stepwell on an ancient trade route could disappear forever.
Once built to provide water and shelter to traders travelling between Ahmedabad and Surat, Uttam Nagar Vav now lies buried under debris and neglect.
This Sunday, 7th June, at 7:00 AM, Team Ramdoot Restores will begin its cleanup and conservation drive at Uttam Nagar Vav, Maninagar, Ahmedabad.
We don’t need your money. We need your support.
Share this post, spread the word, and if you’re in Ahmedabad, join us on the ground. @RamdootRestores

@theskindoctor13 They are used to give a 'finished' look to an under construction project. 10 ft or higher sized foxtail or bottle palms are easily available. Contrast this with our native species where it would take years to get to a reasonable size. So it's market pressure really.
@antoniogm I'm smiling as i see the prices on my local delivery app in Delhi - USD 5 for a box of 6. These are for ratnagiri hapus. But of course I prefer gulab khas so I won't bother 😜
@hanak0103 Niros was upscale in the 70s (when my parents were in their 20s). Its still in the guidebooks. Contemporary upscale indian restaurants in Jaipur would be Suvarn Mahal (Rambagh), Bar Palladio, Cinnamon (jai mahal). Enjoy.
