@ManKindInit I have been thrown out of several organisations that claim to support/listen to male as well as female victims of DA, just for giving ONS figures about male victims and for pointing out multiple examples of training used in my area that contain no examples of adult male victims.
This is an awful case and shows huge range of strategies used against male victims. We hope Mr Evans is getting support.
Summer Marl-Brock lured former partner into a honeytrap before using her phone to film a gang of masked thugs brutally beating him.

"Boys aged 14-17 accounted for 98% of victims of sextortion". Terrible number increase.
All these boys are defined by successive governments as victims of violence against a girl! @IWFhotline@NSPCC@mollyroseorg@ukhomeoffice@MoJGovUK#VAWG#Orwell

Report shows 27% of domestic abuse linked suicides feature a male victim. We believe it is higher due to male non-disclosure and police and definitely coroners not believing bereaved families because it was a man. @CollegeofPolice@PoliceChiefs@TheVKPP

@Surviving_LADa That's worse than the "Responding Well" domestic abuse course in Cumbria at which delegates used to be told that male victims are much less likely to come forward, immediately followed by the Duluth Wheel in which all 8 examples of domestic abuse had a female victim.
@AbusedMenUK Oh the number of domestic abuse courses that are out of date, or that fail to provide case studies of male victims, or insist that domestic abuse is 'gendered', which deters men from seeking support. Some organisations are glad of some advice to help them get it right.
@Niall_Ky@SammieB1980 Some good points & I'm all too well aware that saying DA is 'gendered' silences so many men, like you and me. The DA Act & the Statutory Guidance doesn't say it's gendered, so I agree with you. I have followed Sam for many years and I think she's genuine. Please do the survey.
@JonIrwinLD@SammieB1980 I have had several experiences of that loop, with 3rd sector orgs claiming to support male as well as female victims being very critical indeed and even making false claims whenever I have raised any concerns about bias in training. I'm still very optimistic about @SammieB1980
@SammieB1980 Interesting and encouraging remark about the voluntary sector. Very sadly, some organisations in the 3rd sector act to silence male domestic abuse survivors who want to help. I have several examples of the harm this does.
That's great. A short video that was very effective in encouraging men to talk about domestic abuse during a Cumbria Constabulary live domestic abuse event on their Facebook account is here... https://t.co/kF8Hw59lHy
Such a privilege to have male survivor Richard Spencer share and support Our Own Words Survey.
He was such a powerful speaker at the @paullavellefoun conference in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago.
