"In lieu of an 'icebreaker' to launch the new school year, think about having each grade or team in your building put their accomplishments together and share them with colleagues, students, parents and the community."

@KenSprague5 The extremists have been the ones banning books, threatening teachers and harassing librarians, one. And two, y’all keep trying to act like the voucher movement is some grassroots effort led by public school parents but the reporting shows as Maury Povich says: That is a lie.
This push for vouchers is what happens when we started introducing the terms of the market into public education and treating common schools as a consumer good instead of a public good. The attacks on “CRT” always had as an end game the delegitimization of public schools in order to funnel public funds into private hands.
Ask yourself, why would people who claim parents need vouchers because their children are being failed in public schools then oppose forcing private schools to be held to the same academic standards at the schools the vouchers are stealing from?

HS gets title 1. HS gets SO much money for activities, stipends, etc. elementary teachers get so few stipends to do the work and then some. They get paid less than HS teachers all the time. #killeenisd#schoolboard
School board meeting: what if we went 1:1 tech and did away with hardback books? STAAR2.0 is all online. Kids have to learn this. #killeenisd#schoolboard#bestpractice
As ISDs are preparing for budgets, remember TX has no financial crisis, but rather a manufactured political crisis used as an excuse to not fund schools. We will watch the bad actions of a few effect many selfless people that will be casualties of budget cuts. Poor legacy indeed.
