Why did no one tell me that timetabling is one of the toughest parts of being a teacher! Trying to fit everything into summer 2 and not clash with anyone else seems impossible!

Experienced teachers are what holds education together! ECTs would not be able to do a good job without the experts around them, pay the experts more so everyone can be great teachers

My last day in year 5/6 today before I cover maternity in 1/2 for the rest of the summer term. Hopefully it’ll be good experience for my EYFS post in September 🫠

Going from teaching year 6 and then to pre-school visits the past two weeks has been a brilliant exercise in adapting! So excited to go into year R but will miss KS2 as well 😊

Phonics question !!! If children have only learnt one grapheme for a phoneme, for example ‘ai’, should you spell words phonetically, for example ‘ait’ instead of ‘ate’, or should you always model correct spelling? #EYFS #phonics #reception #edutwitter
