@EverydayNick @GlastoFestFeed@Glastopia How have you got away with having time off during term time? You're so lucky you'll love it! I missed out on tickets this time 😭
They make exams and tests
harder
to make sure
that fewer children do well.
When the results come out
the papers will say that
standards are going down,
which is teachers' fault
and children are becoming stupid.
In an election year
the govt can say
they'll make it all better.
Ive asked year 6 teachers about this year SATs
Here is one reply
My ‘best’ reader, who has achieved greater depth in every past paper this half term, didn’t get to the last 2 questions yesterday and was in tears.
A few myths to dispel:
1. Teachers are not paid for the holidays.
You read that right, teachers are not paid for the holidays. They could be classed as TOIL for the unpaid overtime they routinely do, but actually they are just not paid (despite many working, prepping etc.).
