“We are all vulnerable, and we will all, at some point in our lives… fall. We will all fall. We must carry this in our hearts… that what we have is special. That it can be taken from us, and when it is taken from us, we will be tested. We will be tested to our very souls.
As we approach the start of this virtual year... I just can’t stop thinking about how much I miss my kids. The kids who I don’t even know yet, the kids from years past who always pop in.... THEY are why I teach, and I miss them. 😔 #mathteacher#iteachmath#teacher#highschool

I would love to create goody bags for my students who need help obtaining supplies to learn effectively while virtual!
I love to encourage kids to learn creatively and collaboratively, and hope to continue this online ❤️

The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office staff talks and interacts or the custodians or teachers in the hallway. Yes the admin influences it but everyone is ultimately responsible for a positive school culture.
I take such offense when I tell people I work in a high school and they’re like “OMGGGGGG GOD BLESS YOU HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH TEENAGERS THEY ARE THE WORST” Lol like what. They are the best. Full stop.
Teachers, more than any other profession say their voice is not heard and they are not fully valued. This is not just an individual leader issue, this is a systemic issue in education that needs to be addressed instead of the dept of ed shaming teachers.
Our female students need MORE female mathematician role models. Seeing smart, successful female leaders in science, technology, engineering and math will encourage them to take higher level math courses and pursue careers in these fields! #iteachmath#teacher#education#stem
Got pencils? This teacher figured out a way to get “borrowed” pencils back. But no sharing of supplies this year means no returns. #pencilshaming Yay or Nay? :-)
