"Mexico surpassed Canada as the U.S.’s number-one trading partner for a reason. They couldn’t care less about President Trump’s mind games or bluster. Mexico was insulted and threatened far more than Canada ever was—yet instead of playing the victim, they focused on what they could control. Canada needs to learn from that."

It is something to turn on the news & watch my former Cabinet colleagues say & do the exact opposite of what they claimed to be committed to when I was there. Total lack of principles & backbone.
No wonder there is so much cynicism & contempt for our political leaders. #cdnpoli
@nspector4 If a 10% increase and shutting negotiations down is success, then Ford knocked it out of the park. He did say he had the support of Dem governors in the US. At minimum it is provoking the governing party in another country. At worst, it’s interference. We wouldn’t accept that.
@Travisdhanraj@CBCNews It is time for CBC colleagues with a conscience, integrity, and critical thinking skills to speak out about experiences similar to those Dhanraj experienced. It is doubtful that he is the exception rather than the rule. It is time in this world to show courage.
Hey @CBCNews just popping on here to say this as clearly as I can…stop trying to be a controlling ex.
I know you are dismayed, but we’ve broken up.
I have Canada as my witness.
You don’t get to dictate who I talk to or what I say any more…
and I’ve got a lot to say.
Congratulations @BenMulroney.
Will you also be selling art to interview guests, applying for Consul General position in New York or hustling a Senate seat? No? You’re hired!

80 years ago today, George Orwell’s Animal Farm was published.
It was the first English book I ever read.
And given what I’m seeing these days in Canada, it might be time for many to read it again…
At this point, when it comes to trade negotiations, I’d actually settle for Trudeau. That’s how bad Carney has been so far. Trump’s not even taking his calls anymore.
Trudeau was often dismissed as a geopolitical lightweight, so his mistakes were almost expected. Carney is supposed to be the adult in the room—so when he fumbles, it resonates even more.
Travis Dhanraj articulated what many Canadians have long suspected but few in media circles have dared to confront.
As the second prominent CBC journalist to openly question the broadcaster’s journalistic integrity, his remarks underscore a growing crisis of trust in Canadian media—one in which the CBC plays a central role.
Today Canada became weaker.
Bill C-5 gives unchecked powers in a few officials, overrides laws of Parliament, & steamrolls constitutional rights.
Our economy won’t grow by creating conditions of uncertainty & conflict… Our sovereignty is not protected by being anti-democratic.
It isn't simply the fault of the "MSM" but you’ll learn more about Poilievre from this one interview than from the past ten years of journalism about the guy. Very strange. All here: https://t.co/UUtruYmuSQ
If by “targeting” you mean PROMOTING?!
The regime in Beijing is amplifying Mark Carney’s message to help him win.
But how would anyone know that when they read this? 👇
