We ended #TeacherAppreciationWeek by giving each staff member an award for something specific that they do to make our school better… and the best part was watching as kids walked by, smiled as they found their teacher’s name, and started saying great things about them!

Off day from the Bear Invitational Spring Break tournament, so our guys picked up trash around the campuses of the high school, middle school, and elementary school.

Districts, ask your Principal’s when the last time was they CHANGED their discipline policies? Kids are not the same as they were in 1990 or 2000, when it was written. Why do you keep copying and pasting the same matrix into next years handbook? #LeadershipShift

Congratulations to our 22’-23’ Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Heather Robertson! We appreciate her family being able to join us for the surprise announcement. Mrs. Robertson currently teaches 6th grade science and has previously taught ELA.

@TechTiesThomas Woooow! This is such a game changer!

[Andrew McMillan @AndrewCMcMillan]

Leadership isn’t how many people serve under you. It’s how many people YOU can serve! #Woooooooooo

This is good.

Curious of your response to something I said today. Used to: leaders were trained, “You inspect what you expect.” Today I revised that ,”You protect what you expect.” If you expect teachers to collaborate you ensure time is given. If you expect data to be used, you protect& train.

[Ashley Brewer @teachdocg]

I pray you don’t get caught up in the glitz and the glam of it all, dear educator, because that will certainly fade.

And one day, you’ll have a senior boy walk in with a chip clip and you’ll realize that you must be doing something right. https://t.co/3nXVDxKhRi

Administrators checklist:
1. Hug your school nurse
2. Support your people. All of them. Defend them FIERCELY.
3. Make student-centered decisions, always. PERIOD.
4. LEAD

It’s time. Who is on board? #CircleTheWagons #GetOnTheBus #Wooooooooooo

All coaches and parents please watch this. These 50 seconds by Nick Saban will transform these young men for the rest of their life. Coaches and parents make sure you affirm your children/ athletes even in defeat.

@AlkhatibKelly @GaffneyFootball @dfhsfootball I would be calling the school today! As an educator, this is uncalled for. The school should take action if this is one of their students.

[Ashley Brewer @teachdocg]
