@DrTchr In SS, I’ve implemented questions in different formats to measure learning. When discussing ancient civilization achievements, it can apply to ELA, math, and science. Students have also had the chance to read a fictional text. I wish I could explore those more. 3/3
@DrTchr I believe that the curriculum at the ML should spark curiosity and should have them make connections whether it’s between disciplines, themselves, or another example outside of class. The curriculum needs to appeal to a variety of demographics rather than it be one sided.
@DrTchr I’ve been able to teach and assess students through a variety of online tools such as Quizizz, Kahoot, Padlet, Pear Deck, and some others. It gives me a basis of how students are learning individually and as a whole class. It informs my teaching for the next time. 2/3
To have students engaged virtually, you have to think about their interests at that age and what types of websites or videos would appeal to them/keep their attention. Also, checking in throughout the class would let you know if something is engaging or not. @DrTchr
