Over the last 5 months we’ve been traveling the country delivering professional learning for staff and we have to say this.
We’ve never seen staff this demoralized.
Staff tells us stories that even has us- a 20 year veteran gasping. t
Another one of being harassed by parents for being accused of teaching “CRT” and being targeted at school and at home by these parents. It got so bad she filed a restraining order. Consequence? She took a leave of absence from school.
FCS District Winners made huge impacts in their respective categories and even received special recognition from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for their work with STEM. Congratulations to all who participated! #JaguarExcellence @KenyattaStacker @will_zwingmann

As school districts plan their calendars for 2022, they must be mindful that teachers/students have experienced trauma.
There’s not enough planning time that can address that.
Ask what mental health supports you can put in immediately?
What we’re collectively seeing is the American educational system crumbling. The only way to fix it will be to pay teachers substantially more and improve work conditions.
