Unfortunately, our TAFE National competition was canceled due to Covid-19. We would still like to recognize Corrie Chan and Jennifer Truong for their hard work on a children’s book they wrote and illustrated titled “The Light of Patience”.

Senior spotlight-✨Isabella Binion is a second year senior and is this years TAFE President. Bella’s favorite internship memory was getting to see her students everyday. Bella is Going to the University of North Texas and hopes to be an elementary school teacher.
favorite memory:the yard sale at the beginning of the year,it was hot, we were all sweaty and tired and looking so bad because we were so tired, but we all came together for the program and it was the first time we all just took a breather and got to know eachother outside class

Senior spotlight✨Sidon is a first year intern, and was this years TAFE secretary. Sidons favorite memory was “Being with my students at Dartmouth’s Turkey Trot run”. Her favorite quote is “Life is what you make it”.
Senior spotlight✨Esperanza is a second year teaching intern. Esperanza plans on Going to Arkansas Tech University to become a high school teacher. Her favorite internship memory is meeting both of her classes for the first time!

Senior spotlight✨ Hannah will attend Texas A&M University and pursuing a degree in Kinesiology to become an Athletic Trainer or physical therapist.

Today I decided, with the possibility of an extended break, that we would drastically expand the number of books that’s students could check out. We had the entire school through the library by 12:45. The shelves are a mess but these kids have some great books going home.
