How do primary schools show clear progression of skills & knowledge in Art? Would anybody be willing to share a progression map or indicate where I could find one? ✨
@MrEFinch@MichaelRosenYes I went to school with a girl who leant back on her chair, was warned about it multiple times, but continued to do it. One day she fell, caught the table with her feet (bringing the table up with her legs), which slammed into the girl sitting next to her’s face and broke her nose.
23:20. Eldest comes into my room.
“Mummy. I have a question.”
“Yes?”
“Is Adam Kay gay?”
“Yes.”
“Oh, cool. He mentioned a husband. Next question. Did you know the tongue is the only muscle that’s connected only on one side?”
“No.”
“Now you do. Na-night!”
@KitPeacock Yes, but you have to be quite explicit with placing 12, 3, 6 & 9 first before filling in the other numbers, otherwise they squash them all up together!
7+ years teaching in Y1 and whilst making clocks with them this morning, which dingbat said “you just need to write the numbers 1-12” and set them off?
THIS DINGBAT. ME.
It took 20 seconds for me to freeze and say “WAIT, NO, I WAS WRONG, STOP!” … too late.
My mum said it was sad that it would essentially go to landfill. The lady in question said she would take it home and sew it, to collect today. Brilliant service, sewing leather is no easy task! A bag saved, and a very happy customer.
@FatFace Hi. My mum would like to pass on extreme thanks to a lady who works in your Lichfield store. She brought in a handbag that she bought 6 months ago, the handle had fallen off. They said that she could either swap it for another (different) bag or refund.
Has anybody done the same art lesson throughout the school to show progression? Which one did you choose? Currently doing it and am so curious & excited to see results.
