Me: Open up your books and rip out page 15.
Student: NOO NOT pg 15!! That’s the hardest page in the book!!
Me: *confused* what are you even talking about? Have you ever seen page 15?
Student: *completely ignores me* Look at this!! Look at all the work!
*on Istation, runs to my desk*
“MRS. BROWN DID YOU KNOW THAT CHEESE IS MADE OUT OF MILK??!”
“Yes”
“SO WE EAT MILK?”
“You could say that”
“SO WE EAT MILK ON PIZZA ??!”
“Hahah yeah!”
Last year on the first day of school I was on zoom and 9 months pregnant! It felt really good to be in the classroom this time! 🥺 ohh and not have heartburn!
*watching me type*
S1: how do teachers type so fast?
Me: I’ve been typing for a long time.
S2: like 50 years??
Me: 😂😂😂I AM NOT 50 YEARS OLD !!!
Does zoom add years to your face? Why do kids always assume you’re much older than you are? I need answers!
Listening to @jrussell_t speak inspired me! There was something about his voice that definitely calmed the whole room! Praying for his family and all those who will miss him!
All of us in the DSC School of Ed family are heartbroken over this incredible loss. We send our love to Flagler students, teachers, families, and all those who were blessed to know Mr. Russell.
Today, while talking about the sequence of events with 2nd grade, a cat wearing a sweater walked infront of 1 of my kid’s camera. I stop mid sentence and said, “Is that a cat wearing a sweater??” and the student said yeaaah she is old and it’s cold!😭#virtualteachingchronicles
Then almost all of 2nd grade went back on campus except for 3. So I inherited 3 second graders! So now ya girl teaches a mixed class. Very crazy, very hard, very rewarding!
After a week of me being back the district deadline for switching kids back was approaching and 8 parents reached out to me and said that E-learing wasn’t for their kid! So I was left with a cool 7 kids... so I thought! 😂
