Staff and @NEUnion members from @WhitefieldPrim1 in Penwortham are striking in an ongoing row over pay and working conditions
Kids are off school for a second day this week

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨
In an unprecedented move, @NEUnion, @ASCL_UK, @NASUWT and @NAHTnews have announced all four unions will coordinate future industrial action in their dispute with Govt.
Yesterday on Budget Day, tens of thousands of @NEUnion members marched through the streets of London to send a message to the Government to #PayUp and #SaveOurSchools.
Only you can resolve this dispute @GillianKeegan – it’s time to come to the table to negotiate.

If you are are a teacher saying you can’t afford to strike, I agree. I also know my dad had 3 kids (me one of them) and went out to strike so you could have your PPA. Imagine not having PPA. He lost wages for that. And you now Benefit as a teacher.

I support the campaign for a fully funded, above-inflation pay rise for education staff.

#SaveOurSchools#PayUp!
Strike action in schools isn't going to have any real long-term impact on a child. But endless funding cuts, a retention crisis caused by pay & conditions, collapsing staff morale & the unnecessary pressures created by Ofsted & excessive accountability, yeah, I think that might.
Absolutely fascinating session at the #haconf21 with @Alexandrapethi2 on the role of knowledge and progression. Feeling inspired by your enthusiasm and clear, practical advise! Thanks! #primaryhistory
