@JenosonTwit yesss!! also I think bc a lot of them were there as teens around when vld/SU etc was popular and clung onto the growing anti-ism like it was the only thing that gave them a personality (& power) & some of them never grew out of it (embarrassing)

but what helps (usually;;) is reminding myself that no one can see the "vision" I have in my head for a piece, so even if it doesn't look exactly how I wanted/imagined, the viewers can't make that comparison to see the "flaws"
Killing that perfectionist side of you will do wonders on the way you draw. That perfect art you're thinking of is likely unheard of from your peers and they're not expecting that from you anyways. So sketch as much as you like, you'll get there
especially now that I have to be more selective with how I spend my time;;
anyway. just want to throw out all the love to indie creators. make the most of this spotlight while the AAA execs continue to not figure it out & sabotage themselves <3
this is truly the era of the indie dev. with the cost of living rising, & AAA game prices being extortionate (& the content being "consume product" slop lbh), I know I've been turning more & more to smaller games that were obviously made with passion
