STATEMENT ON THE COMMENCEMENT OF POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS FOR THE 2027 PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS.
My dear people of Delta North,
As campaigns for the 2027 general elections officially begin, I speak to you not merely as a candidate, but as a fellow Anioma Son who understands the moment before us.
Delta North stands at a crossroads. For too long, our politics has been shaped by familiar patterns, political calculations and the preservation of existing arrangements. I believe we can do better.
That is why, after careful consideration and in response to the calls from our people, I accepted the responsibility to contest for the Senate under the banner of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC. The NDC formally cleared my candidacy for Delta North in July 2026.
But this election is bigger than one Senate seat.
It is about building a new political direction for Delta North and supporting all NDC candidates across our Senatorial District—for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly while working with our NDC candidate for Governor of Delta State Deacon Chris Iyovwaye @dchrisiyovwaye.
At the national level, we have H.E. @PeterObi as our presidential candidate. I believe his appeal goes beyond political rhetoric. It is about prudence, order, simplicity, accountability and the responsible management of public resources. His record as Governor of Anambra State demonstrated that experience is not merely about eloquence; it is about what a person does with responsibility. His administration also received recognition for prudence and public-sector performance.
The coming together of the different political forces that now constitute the NDC, including the structures associated with the @OK2027movement, presents us with an opportunity to build something broader than individual ambitions: a political platform capable of winning and governing with purpose.
So, to the people of Delta North, I ask for your partnership.
Let us move from politics of dependency to politics of capacity.
From survival to purposeful representation.
From what has always been to what can be.
This is our moment.
This is our mission.
This is the #NewDirection.
VOTE NDC!
Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Victor O. Ochei, Esq., FNSE (V.O)
2027 NDC Candidate, Delta North Senatorial District.
For us in Delta North Senatorial District, we have chosen A #NewDirection with @VictorOOchei and the @NigeriaNDCHQ.
The 2027 Senatorial contest is one that will determine our progress, preserve our respect and influence the right perception of our identity in national politics.
I attended the strategic Town Hall Meeting organised by the @OK2027movement Delta State Chapter, in Asaba, alongside NDC candidates, leaders and stakeholders.
At the well-attended event, I emphasised the need for us to take the NDC beyond the major towns and into our villages, wards and hinterlands. Our people must know the name, symbol and identity of the party and understand the values for which we stand.
Our various support groups must also recognise that, while their individual structures are important, our collective objective must remain the same: building the NDC and securing victory at all levels in 2027.
I commend Comrade Favour Emerue, Convener of the event and Delta State Coordinator of the OK Movement, for his efforts in strengthening grassroots mobilisation and coordination.
I also saluted the courage expressed a few years ago, while assuring that those who have what it takes to defend the party's victory in 2027 have now joined them.
I was pleased to engage with @dchrisiyovwaye NDC Governorship Candidate; H.E. Senator @OvieOmoAgege CFR, Delta Central Senatorial District Candidate; and other elders, leaders and candidates of our great party.
We have a party to build, and we have elections to win.
Together, we will build. Together, we will win.

2027: APC Coalition, NDC Stakeholders Meet Peter Obi in Ika Federal Constituency
In a major political move signaling early preparations for the 2027 general elections, an All Progressives Congress (APC) coalition led by Hon. RECEIVING THE OK MOVEMENT, DELTA STATE CHAPTER
Team Ochei was delighted to welcome the leadership of the OK Movement, Delta State Chapter, on a courtesy and solidarity visit to Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Victor O. Ochei, Esq., FNSE.
I was delighted to receive the leadership of the @OK2027movement , Delta State Chapter, on a courtesy and solidarity visit.
It was a refreshing engagement with a high-powered delegation comprising foundational members of the movement and stakeholders of the NDC.
Our discussions centred on unity, reconciliation and collective purpose. I emphasised the need to let go of political grudges, reconcile our differences and focus on the task ahead.
The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to the NDC and its determination to work for NDC 5/5—victory in the 2027 Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
I look forward to working with this inspiring structure as we strengthen the party, mobilise our people and build the broad-based unity required for victory.

Even in the rain, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei (@VictorOOchei) is mobilizing the grassroots for the NDC in Delta North Senatorial District.
Victory is sure ✌️
Today, we had a harmonization meeting led by the Speaker emeritus of the Delta state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei on how to harmonize Aniocha North and indeed Delta North for the benefit of our great party the NDC.
Present were the Aniocha North Candidate, Dr. Uzoma Awunor, All Morris Monye support group Ward leaders in Aniocha North and my good friend Peter Akah also visited.
We have harmonized. It’s time to mobilize NDC for all the polling units in Delta North.
Today, I hosted and mediated a final reconciliation between Dr. Uzoma Valentine Awunor, NDC Candidate for Aniocha North Constituency I, and Comrade Morris Monye @Morris_Monye, popular NDC Chieftain and contestant at the party's Aniocha North Constituency I primaries.
Both leaders came with their respective delegates, and we held a frank closed-door engagement focused on one thing: the unity and future of our party.
I am pleased that, at the end of the meeting, Comrade Morris Monye and his team pledged their commitment to working with Dr. Awunor and other stakeholders to strengthen the NDC and deliver victory in 2027.
This is the spirit we need across Delta North.
We have a party to build, and we have elections to win.
I also received the NDC Candidate for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency Mr @Peter4Nigeria at my residence.
Together, we will reconcile, we will unite, and we will win.
