Finally made it to the Ultimate Track Car Championship sponsored by Grassroots Motorsports and Tire Rack! Thanks to Tom Suddard and the crew at GRM for the invite - we've tried to make this for a few years and finally the timing worked out.

UTCC has lots of fast cars, but we were able to run up near the front - the only car that beat us is a full aero Mustang with 800-900hp on Hoosier slicks! Really happy to come in 2nd.

SCCA TT Nats right after was fun, we had a great run group, very few issues and were able to learn over time how to optimize the car. The track surface seems to get worse and worse through the week, so not getting up to speed right away cost us, but on the last day in the morning with improved driving we were able to get the track record and be the only car in our class in the 1:46's. With a good track surface we thought a 45 might have been possible...

Pitt Race is a great facility, so sad to see that it's being closed after this year. We've had fun learning the track the last few years and setting some fast times.

Thank you to Mountain Pass Performance for the help with the electronics and suspension updates this year, and for all the help over the years building and prepping an amazing car for us to go run!

Thanks also to Martian Wheels for continuing to support the efforts - and Goodyear for partnering this year on the tires. They really are built for this car!

Some great new products! The power control and coilover setup have enabled us to get out there and win/place at all car events against still ICE competition. Along with the other options from @MountainPassEV for the Plaid (rear bumpsteer kit, bushings, brakes) the car goes from muscle sedan to corner carver! @DBurkland @itskyleconner It's basic overcorrection on each slide. Could be that it's not picking up the correction fast enough on video with the low visibility or could be that it's not prioritizing the inertial data highly enough. Really common for someone not used to low grip/winter driving...

Hey @elonmusk - can we take a prototype roadster out on the One Lap of America this year and beat all the ICE competition up a bit? :D

We've already gotten the Plaid to 2nd twice at OLOA with our partners at Mountain Pass Performance, Martian Wheels and Goodyear in the last few years and need to get to that top step!

@SawyerMerritt Lots of us are already doing this with Starlink mini and it works great. Can stream race sessions through the glass, telemetry to the pit, etc. Many many applications that can use better connectivity than cellular in remote places.

@SKAVENstocks @DBurkland @Tesla This is a Plaid, so ~1000 - although on track we often turn it down a bit to help the pack last longer. 800-950 is a normal range.
