Floating exchange rate is the best thing to do if and only if @ReserveBankZIM has sufficient reserves. In our case, we don't have enough reserves. The RBZ decision to liberalise the ZiG is suicidal - they just put nail on the Zig coffin.
What is RBZ supposed to do? They must scrap the ZiG and return to USD mono-currency and introduce the ZiG when the time is ripe - when right fundamentals are in place....@BusinessWeeklyZ 👇👇👇

Zimbabwe licensed three companies to resell Starlink kits outside of Starlink. However, Zimbabwe’s ICT Minister, Tatenda Mavetere, has come out to actively support one of these three companies, Aura.
It is fronted by an Indian man, but the real power behind it is... no prizes for guessing correctly!
The father’s son will soon be getting government contracts to supply Starlink!
Dear Senior Government official;
a) What does the law say about those offences and stipulated penalties?
b) If ZERA is too lenient; what steps are required to correct that?
With all of that said, what is the point of an X tantrum, when you and your boss are not exactly powerless and can in fact, act anytime via another SI?
You are the ones in charge, my Comrade! Please accept responsibility for this mess, just as you claim credit not only for the clean fuel at Zuva, but for every kilometre of newly tarred road, and every single street light, in the city of Harare.
🙏
I received these proposed names from Zimbabweans both home and abroad.

@daddyhope Maybe - start by locking in a mission statement and main purpose for the vehicle, then ask for name proposals.
(Apologies if I missed all of that. I only got to listen to the space 12 hours ago - haven't got to the end yet).
Since the car had a mechanical breakdown and failed to get the renter to the place they were going to, it is the car that has has the mhosva, not the renter!
a) A renter is only responsible for fuelling the car with the correct fuel, and ensuring no accidental damage occurs to the car.
b) Otherwise, a renter must not touch other things, lest they put wrong things in the wrong places! Not everybody knows where to pour oil, coolant, or water, etc.
c) If it were necessary for renters to oil or water the car, the rental company would specifically show or instruct the renter on how to, and even provide necessary tools and spares (coolant, oil, water, etc): just as they provide a spare wheel and all of the equipment that is required for the job!
d) FINALLY, by indicating that the car broke down due to lack of water, the rental company is indirectly admitting to negligence! If the renter has insurance, my guess is that their insurance company will refuse to cover this or any inconveniences caused. If anything, they might want to push it to the rental company (their insurance).
Thank you for your patience. It is the 1st anniversary of the elections. We all worked hard to mobilize resources and to encourage pple to vote. We went into a flawed election hoping that maybe we could overwhelm the system. From the delimitation process, to voters roll, to the election day ballot crisis it was clear that everything was skewed against the opposition.
On the eve of elections the Harare regime hunted down people that were doing parallel voter tabulation. A number of people were arrested. Fortunately none of our volunteers were affected but they operated under great danger to themselves. Having more than 50 people's lives at stake was a huge burden.
We did the best we could to collate results. And citizens did amazingly great by sending us the V11s from their polling stations. Within the first 2 days we had collated about 75% of the polling stations.
We eventually were able to collate 10 250 polling stations which we could verify their results. These represent about 84% of all polling stations used. We did receive a lot of results from other polling stations which we could not authenticate or verify. I have excluded those results from this spreadsheet.
The results on this spreadsheet only represent the polling stations we could back with signed and stamped v11s. We got a lot of dubious results from Mashonaland East, Central and West . Those polling stations have been excluded.
We chose also not to even release these results in 2023 in the backdrop of the SADC report because we felt we were not in the business of legitimizing sham elections. We hopped CCC would reject the whole election in toto. Unfortunately some decided to go to parliament and councils.
At the end of the day, I hope we all now are going to have honest conversations, now that you know a bit of what we knew.

VIDEO: A full blown brawl errupted on Friday between Moroccan 🇲🇦 and Algeria 🇩🇿 diplomats over Sahrawi Republic's alleged participation at the preparatory meeting of the Tokyo International Summit on Development in Africa (TICAD) in Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵.
The brawl between representatives of Algeria and Morocco forced the suspension of the session.
The issue at stake was the participation of Ambassador Lamine Baali, representative of the Saharawi Republic to the African Union, in the meeting although Japan didn’t recognize the entity.
A diplomat from the Moroccan delegation was trying to remove the name plate of the Sahrawi Republic Ambassador placed in front of Baali.
Then a member of the Algerian delegation rushed to the spot to prevent the Moroccan representative from the action, and both got engaged in a pushing and fighting brawl, falling to the ground.
Diplomatic sources say that Morocco asked the organizers not to let the Sahrawi representatives participate since Japan does not recognize the entity that calls itself the Saharawi Republic.
It is, however, recognized by some countries in the African Union led by Algeria and South Africa.
Japan is caught in this dispute and decided to allow the Polisario Front, an independence movement opposing Moroccan control of the Western Sahara, to attend the TICAD meetings at the strong pressure from Algeria and South Africa.
Moroccan protests found deaf ears at the Japanese side so far.

Marginalisation, based on Language, Tribe, Race, and other isms, still exists and happens even today.
Talking about it might help (I hope it does)!
Having another tribe share how it felt when they were the victims, might help (I hope it does)!
Denial often causes issues to grow.
