Happy 10th birthday to @maggiesne! The centre is a fantastic resource for people in the #northeast and north #Cumbria who have been affected by #cancer. 🧡🧡
#clinicaloncology training in the #northeast is the absolute best! Massive team effort - SpRs, Consultants, Physics, Dosimetry, Radiographers = T.E.A.M.
“The North East was my top choice to pursue #Oncology”
Divya Manoharan was drawn to the state-of-the-art facilities on offer here in the North.
She is now pursuing her passion in one of the UK’s top cancer centres.

The #FRCR Part 1 Practice Questions for Exams series is free to RCR members until 1 September ✍️
Created for clinical oncology trainees, it covers radiobiology and cancer biology, statistics, physics and pharmacology.
View it on the RCR Learning Hub: https://t.co/JOFSkXrONf
I must say, the careers event at @NcccOncology has done absolutely nothing to put me off a career in oncology. Great insight into medical and clinic fields and the exciting future treatments. Can't wait to get my first taste of it next February @teambeamNCCC
This is a great resource to support learning for trainees. The exam isn't everything but it looms large and the summer series helps increase access to high quality training in niche / tricky areas.
Best thing about doing clinics in Carlisle (obvs apart from the fantastic staff, unit and training opps!) is the seasonal plant swapping that goes on between the Newcastle and Carlisle Oncology staff!
Strawberries anyone…? 🍓🍓🍓 Thanks @kerryannmiles 🙏🏻
We’re planning to introduce remote invigilation as an alternative way for trainees to sit their Part 1 or 2A #FRCR exams ✍️
We need RCR trainees and Fellows, from the UK and overseas, to volunteer to pilot this.

This is what being part of a lovely team looks like! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
4 of our brilliant SpRs have joined our team as Consultants and it’s important to recognise and celebrate this! 👏🥳👌
Thanks Steve for all your physics and radiobiology knowledge and expertise that you’ve shared so willingly and so humbly with us all over the years. You’ve helped to turn SpRs into brilliant Consultants and we will be forever grateful! All the very best for your retirement. 😀
Today we wished Steve Locks, our brilliant Radiotherapy Physicist a long and happy retirement. In 35 years he has seen RT physics @NcccOncology grow from a group of 3 to the group you see pictured below. Thank you for all your hard work- you will be missed!
