Public Ed & fire prevention success story-SFD was dispatched to an apartment fire this morning. On arrival light smoke was present from the outside, crews entered and found an extinguished fire on the stovetop extinguished by the pictured FireStop canisters installed in the hood.

For a small fire, turn off the fuel & cover the pan if possible.
If you do have an out-of-control fire in the kitchen- get out, alert everyone, and call 911 from a safe area.
