Attended a cardiac arrest in a public place on shift today. Before we arrived, first aiders on scene had delivered CPR & shocks from their AED
Patient was awake and talking by the time they arrived at hospital.
Knowing First aid and access to AEDs is so important to saving lives
The boards are up!
We now have information boards that explains the contraptions an ITU patient may have. It may give visitors an insight of what to expect when a patient is in our unit.
1/25 Update thread on where NHS hospitals are at the moment, concentrating on 3 things: a) hotspot hospital admission rates. b) overall pressure. c) what this may mean for easing lockdown measures (spoiler alert - we will need a full, evidence based, debate given trade offs!)
