💕 25 % women NOT respond to screening invitation.
💕 Smear test lasts 5 mins
#smearondemand
The rate of cervical cancer has more than doubled in women aged 25-29 years since 2004. It doesn't have to be this way.
Please use our write to your MP tool (takes 1 min) and ask them to change the law to protect women.

‘A cervical smear test is as important as the air you breathe’ : Signs and symptoms of cervical cancer & the process of a smear test among vital topics to be discussed at an online awareness session later today. Details: https://t.co/VeBwIpQrDe
This #CervicalCancerPreventionWeek I became aware that some constituents hadn't yet received their usual routine invite so I've asked the Health Minister:
✅ how many are on the waiting list for routine cervical screening tests in GP practices & when the backlog will be cleared
Thanks to @teamsorcha for reminding women of the signs of cervical cancer.
✅ I have written the DoH for an assessment of what support is given to women who have been sexually assaulted and or/ abused who fear attending smear appointments.
