@BlackGryph0n @Rainmaker1973 I have a coworker who does this on the side. He's even gone to international competitions with the US team. Sounds like they use period-accurate armor and weapons with the only major rule being that the weapons can't be sharp. They don't hold back at all 😮

@BlackGryph0n @SpaceX All clouded out down here tonight :-(

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n @SpaceX That really was perfect alignment. Could not have planned it better. I might have to position it further South of the neighborhood in the future to stay out of everyone's view.

@BlackGryph0n 😮

@Erdayastronaut Treadmill example helps visualize this. When tangential wheel speed = ground speed, the velocity of the axle is zero so no forward progress (assuming no sliding). This means we can simplify the problem by bolting the plane to the ground. Available thrust doesn't matter then.

@DJSnM Very excited! I love the taste of meat but a few hours going down the rabbit hole of online articles about questionable animal welfare in large-scale meat processing operations makes it real difficult to continue supporting those industries ☹️

@BlackGryph0n @SkydiveArizona @marcylous Hmmm, maybe I can sneak in a jump sometime as long as my mom doesn't find out 😉

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n @ClaireMCorlett Tippy touch 😀

@BlackGryph0n @AJamesMcCarthy I was about 10miles East in the Santa Ritas last night but air was bumpy 🫤

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n Send @ClaireMCorlett up instead. She can practically hover in place over the donkey with her slow cruising speed 😉 Hopefully he's just nervous about all the commotion and it's not a sign that he's been mistreated by humans before 🫤

@shaunthesheep My wife and I watch a @shaunthesheep episode every day before bed. Great way to unwind before going to sleep. We've been doing this for at least 6 years and have run through every season numerous times. Highly recommend 🙂

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n @MichelleCreber That's good. It would be a shame to miss out on the Playa fly-in. Luckily no cactuses (or anything at all) out there to get in your way 😀

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n @MichelleCreber Better to crash on take off rather than after you get up in the air😉Any gear damage? I recall there being a fence almost exactly where your wing ended up 🫤

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n @MichelleCreber Yikes! The desert flora show no mercy. Why did throttle drop as you sat down? Engine die or conflicting decision making between legs and hands?

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@nchan Look like BD-1 😀

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@seanparkerphoto Awesome that we now have @fireflyspace in addition to @SpaceX to put on these shows for us occasionally 😃

[Dan Toborowski @teamtobor]

@BlackGryph0n I thought they added some neat visualizations near the beginning to demonstrate his early academic theoretical physics years so I was hoping for similar effects later on. Perhaps the flying circus and Gabe's handcrafted tannerite explosions have spoiled my big boom expectations.
