@collinmyerswx While we were surveying earlier, found a lot of shoddy construction which led to some damaging results. 1.5” of rebar is NOT how you secure structures. That building may have still stood if it weren’t for that.

@_NotRandaThough The mayor of London, KY has reported at least 20 fatalities alone in that city. And 7 in St. Louis at the moment officially. It’s a sad day.

@Gio_wx We went out and did our preliminary damage assessments that we could get done to JKL, but like you said they’re understaffed. They’re one of the office I believe that don’t have 24/7 coverage. They rely heavily on private assistance but if there’s no one there to Receive.

This family in Ferguson was home and sheltered when the tornado collapsed their multi-story home. Thankfully everyone got out okay. @WeatherNation #kywx @Kentuckyweather Early warning saves lives.

Additional storm damage from a tornado in Ferguson #kywx @WeatherNation @Kentuckyweather Power is slowly being restored now. Damage appears to be roughly around or over a quarter mile wide and consistent with EF1-EF2 damage near Mercury Blvd & Parker’s Mill. @nwsjacksonky
