MSNBC has quietly taken three of its Muslim broadcasters, @AliVelshi, @AymanM, and @mehdirhasan, out of the anchor’s chair since Hamas’s attack on Israel last Saturday amid America’s wave of sympathy for Israeli terror victims.
“We have and will continue to cover the barbaric terrorist attacks on defenseless civilians in Israel last weekend and the tragic war it has provoked thoroughly and in all their dimensions,” NBCUniversal Executive Vice President of Communications Stephen Labaton said in a statement.

Attacking civilians is vile. I condemn it. Full stop.
But ALL civilians, right?
The Israeli military is about to unleash on innocent civilians in Gaza--as it has over & again.
If you *really* condemn attacks on civilians, don't go silent when they are Palestinian civilians.
"That Henry Kissinger is still being celebrated, despite Chile's 9/11, despite his well-documented role in undermining democracy in that country, is one of the great injustices & outrages of our time."
My @MSNBC commentary on Kissinger & the "other 9/11".
Pediatrician here. I want people to know that death by firearm is not rare in kids. In fact, it has been the #1 cause death in this age group since 2020. In 2020 alone, 4300 children died from firearms. That’s equivalent to one Boeing 747 plane crash every month for 9 months.
The issue is money in politics.
They’re allowing children to die because of the gun lobby.
They’re allowing the planet to die because of Big Oil.
They’re allowing people to go without healthcare and die because of the insurance lobby.
Inaction is bought.
