I came across a sale of Japanese pose dolls, these dating from the 1960s. They were all the rage during the Showa 30s to 40s (from the mid-1950s to mid-1960s) and were attractive because of their large eyes and that they were dressed in foreign fashion. For young girls they were a view into western culture and style.

🇯🇵 Traditional Japanese Shinto weddings have become increasingly rare. However, some couples are opting for one to keep the tradition alive.

At a shrine, the bride wears a pure white shiromuku kimono and the groom wears black. I wish we could see these more often.
