This year has been tough & we are only a quarter of the way through it. As I reflect over the first 9 weeks, I realize I may not have been as effective as I can be. But I do know I have done my best to create a classroom community that makes my kids feel cared about. That counts.
We are happy to be able to highlight one of our 2020-21 Teacher of the Year Finalists! Katie Madden-Bruketta is from Peabody High School. Congratulations, and thank you for your commitment to students!

#ThoughtForTheDay The foundation of healthy school cultures is found in the way the adults interact with one another on a daily basis. How can we expect kids to be respectful & kind to one another when we as adults don’t even treat each other in this manner? #LiveYourExcellence
This time away from school is starting to wear on me. I miss my kids, I miss my coworkers, I miss my classroom. The more I reflect during this time, the less I will take for granted in the future. I miss teaching!!!
Thank you so much to @NashvilleZoo for the Wildlife on Wheels presentation today at LMS!
It was such an enjoyable learning opportunity for our @lms_tigers.
The presentation can also be used as a reference point for our teachers, creating an abundance of teaching opportunities!
Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Cordova working as instructional leaders this morning with the 7th/8th grade Science PLC @lms_tigers. I heard great conversations involving standards, remediation, assessments, alignment, and grade restoration. Great job!
We moved from a different type of test to an online test that failed to a paper test, to another online failure, and back to a paper test. Can we really measure any actual growth based on those circumstances?
