Public Being Kept in the Dark
#BlackRock CEO Larry Fink and other senior executives at the US investment firm have held 17 meetings with Paschal Donohoe, Simon Harris, and their Department of Finance officials over the last three years.
@PearseDoherty, Sinn Féin's finance spokesman, has claimed that ministers appear to have continually briefed BlackRock on the new investment fund, while the public is being left in the dark'

For any British viewer, watching these Irish commentators explain why it is important for Ireland to boycott a football match against Israel is like being thrust into an alternate universe. One where morality – not money – guides the agenda.
A different world is possible.
Huge thank you to @liamcunningham1 for supporting my sister Laura in her amazing fundraising efforts for Féileacáin in memory of her baby boy, Teddy Farry.

Nearly two years later, we find out that veteran RTE reporter and now Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly was paid €180,000 by RTE as an exit payment in 2021, and it "wasn't squarely a redundancy". His role was filled 13 months later with Sinead Hussey. It was blatant chicanery, though you can't blame Ciaran, he just sat there and took the money offered.
@tecdr Categorisation is at the root of all of RTÉ’s issues. Compare this to what happened to Ronan Collins. RTE is upstairs downstairs, it took Simon 6 years Harris to confirm what I said in 2020. I also said for 25 years the state itself was the biggest offender, amnesty proved it.

‘Categorisation’ is the root of all the issues in @rte.
“Not quite A redundancy’ does not exist as a legal category in redundancy legislation.
Neither does legal employment excluded from pensions because Minister O’Donovan refuses to comply with the law.
@williamhboney1 If journalists aren’t asking the right questions, why are they journalists? Isn’t their job to hold those in power to account and not give them a pass?
RTÉ operated a systemic misclassification architecture for decades that Karshan exposed. Instead of proper individual assessments, they shifted to batch/role processing while trying to ring-fence pension liabilities. This is both unlawful and enormously expensive.

International experts today confirm Israel is assassinating medics in Lebanon.
Some ‘rules’ are more important than others don’t you think @MichealMartinTD?
