Can you guys please go back to using your brains, experince and expertise when writing articles about certain topics please?? Because your posts look the same everywhere 🥹😅.
Startup mistake: solving a vague problem.
If you can’t clearly define the problem, you can’t build the right solution.
Be specific:
Who has the problem?
What exactly hurts?
Why hasn’t it been solved yet
I think startups don’t chase ideas , they solve well defined problems.
Sometimes it feels like every tech event has the same formula:
“AI, Blockchain, Web3, Metaverse, Future of Work,.”
But when you look around, most of the startups pitching are not even building in those spaces. There is nothing wrong with ambition, but there has to be honesty too.
Blockchain is hard. Web3 is hard. These are not trends you jump into because they sound cool for a flyer or conference banners You need builders. You need developers. You need communities. You need real products.
In Zambia, I think we need more conversations about what people are actually building not just what sounds exciting on stage.
Real innovation is not about chasing every global buzzword It is about finding local problems worth solving.

using AI to do research or write your pitch deck does not make you an AI company. There's a massive difference between using AI as a tool and actually building with AI, and the tech world has gotten very comfortable blurring that line.
A real AI company uses artificial intelligence as the engine. The AI is building features, making decisions, powering the product itself. That's what it means when I say I'm building an AI platform we're not just prompting ChatGPT for answers. We're using AI to construct things, to solve real problems at scale, to create systems that learn and improve. The AI isn't in our workflow. It IS the workflow.
most people don't actually know how to use AI. They type a prompt, get an output, and think that's the job done. But real AI literacy means understanding why the model responded the way it did, knowing what problems AI is genuinely suited for, recognizing where it breaks down, and designing your product around both its strengths and its limits. That takes intention. That takes depth.
I'm not saying this to gatekeep. AI is new and the learning curve is real. But if you're building a company, a career, or a product around AI, you owe it to yourself and your users to go deeper than the surface. The people who will truly win this era aren't just the ones using AI they're the ones who understand it.
So ask yourself honestly: are you building with AI, or just building on the hype?

One day I'll find a co-founder who just gets it.
Not just the vision but the numbers behind it. Someone who understands the financial state of the company at every stage. Who knows that not every dollar that comes in is ours to use some belongs to operations, some to growth, some just needs to protect the business.
Cash flow isn't just an accounting thing. It's a leadership thing.
The founders who last aren't just the ones with the biggest ideas. They're the ones who know exactly where the money is, where it's going, and why. That discipline is what keeps the vision alive long enough to become real.

Building an app in 2025 is the easy part. AI codes it. No code tools ship it. Done in a weekend. But can you sell it?Can you get real people to find it, trust it, and pay for it?That's where most founders go quiet. The barrier to build is gone. The barrier to sell never left.
Hello Techies, what do you gain from most of the networking events, summits, mentorship programmes that we attend. Do we network with people from various fields too? Do we also talk about potential employment, in terms of working with them/for them??. Your network is your Networt
The Tech industry evolves on the daily, the imposter syndrome will keep in from time to time and you can not know it all, it brings a lot of peace when you realize and accept it, one step at a time POLE POLE.💻💻
