I've been saying for years that Xbox will never grow in markets like Europe, no matter how many ABKs, Bethesdas they buy, no matter how many games they release or how good of a value Gamepass is.
You can have the best product in the world, if no one knows it exists you won't sell it - let alone grow.
Xbox marketing has been non existing for easily more than a decade - and I barely know anyone here in Germany who even knows what an Xbox is.
While Playstation is a synonym for playing video games, Xbox is brand only known by die hard hardcore gaming Fans. Playstation is everywhere, TV, Internet, Billboards, Sport events, etc etc. And surprise: they sell well.
If the rumors are true and they exit the marketing space in total here in Europe I propably wouldn't even notice.
And no, a giant Gamescom booth isn't marketing. If you go to an event like a Gamescom, you're already heavily invested in gaming. Things like Gamescom is a fan service, not marketing.
Thats something I'll never understand about MS, but hey: "the gaming space isn't growing, right?"
There is no reason Xbox couldn't reach a 100mio+ install base per generation like Sony and Nintendo do. But they need to let people know they exist.
But Europe is just a second class market for them since like forever with second class customers. I don't have any reason to believe that'll ever change and I just hope they don't abandon the console market in Europe in total.
What are your thoughts on this?

If the switch to UE5 is real (and it is real), try to import all the stuff above as more faithful as possibile and then double down on improving/adding into it for an epic Campaign (different biomes) + faster contents

@JezCorden The rumor doesn't say they are stopping developing Halo, but that new 343i mgmt and MS decided to shrink the studio (~450 to ~280 ppl) to only work on Pre-Production (which will still require internal devs) while outsourcing Prod to others. Don't forget trans-media mgmt as well

555.99 has Infinite crashing as a known issue.

Personally I downgraded to 552.44 (which are still the best for my 4080) and everything works perfectly, including Infinite.
