Professor Adebimpe shed light on the role of mathematical modelling in understanding disease spread, guiding and shaping health policies. His lecture emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing contemporary public health challenges.
The Faculty of Natural and Applied Science on Tuesday, 27th January, 2026, recorded a historic milestone as it hosted the University’s Maiden Faculty Lecture, the first of its kind in the institution’s history.
The lecture, titled “From Numbers to Health: Mathematical Epidemiology and the Future of Public Health,” was delivered by Professor Olukayode Adebimpe, Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Science.
