Opera→Sierraの経緯について、SierraやAIエージェントの現在地について、また今回はこれまでと違って、日本のAI戦略についても、お話しさせていただきました。

日本独自のLLMの存在意義、またどこまでそこに投資すべきなのか。これは非常に重��な問いです。安全保障上の理由で、一定程度の投資は必要である一方、そこで勝負するというのは全く話が違います。完全に私見ですが、お話しさせていただいてます。

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.

The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.

Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

有難いことに60万近いImpで大反響いただいたSierra徹底解剖の記事。
記事ではSoAから新たなSoR (=プロセスのSoR)を構築といった戦略的な強さを客観的に分析してみましたが、そもそもなぜSierraはSoAとして、顧客企業の業務に入り込んでいけているのか―
根底にある強みが気になり、今回森川さん(@keita_opera )に深くお話を伺ってきました。

実際にお話しして改めて感じたのは、Sierraの強さは戦略以前に、本番環境で動かしきる技術的な���り込みの徹底にあるということ。
日本語の文字起こしを並走モデルでリアルタイム修正する仕組み、メインのAIを別のSupervisorエージェントが監督する設計―見えないところでの技術蓄積が、エンタープライズの厳しい要求水準に応えている。

「世の中のほとんどのAIエージェントは、実はワークしていない」という森川さんの言葉に、考えさせられる回でした。

OperaをSierra Japanに変え、今後更に成長させていきます！

SierraのBretは現OpenAI会長も兼任しており、元はSalesforceのCo-CEOを創業者のMarc Benioffとつとめ、その前はTwitterの会長、その前はFacebook（現Meta）のCTO、その前はGoogle mapの生みの親という、生ける伝説。

ClayはAlphabet/GoogleでSunder PichaiにDirect reportだったn-1の役員で、Google workspaceの一連プロダクト（Gmail、Google calendar、Google drive、Meets、等）やLabsを率いてきたヘビーウェ���ト級。

一緒に仕事してて、非常に楽しいです。

買収に伴い、Opera全メンバーと共にSFに来ていますが、Sierraはプロダクト・人材・顧客のレベルどれをとっても、間違いなく世界最高の会社です。

Operaとしても事業が急成長し非常に面白いフェーズで、そこにこのレバレッジが効かせられること、非常に楽しみにしております。
