A beauty put together by our @TobiasMilzarek@Helmholtz_HIPS@Helmholtz_HZI. It summarizes a huge body of work by many on one of our favorite natural product classes, the sorbicillinoids! Thanks to @dfg_public for funding!
🔓Read this #OpenAccess review by @TobiasMilzarek & our Editorial Board Chair Tobias Gulder @techbiodd at @Helmholtz_HIPS in our latest issue looking at the structures, bioactivities, biosynthesis & synthesis of the fungal sorbicillinoids

@angew_chem@ManuEinsiedler@sschneider_lab@Helmholtz_HIPS@Helmholtz_HZI Dear ACIE Team! Thanks for posting our article. However, several of the graphical elements put into the early view version have nothing to do with our paper (was OK in the just accepted version and proofs). Can you please delete the post and fix the article first? Thanks!
@Helmholtz_HZI@Helmholtz_HIPS @TUD_Science @tudresden_de@dfg_public PoTeM biosynthetic engineering has been a hot topic with many beautiful stories on how to discover and design new structures. This work for the first time enables engineering of the core structural backbone and will hopefully help to further diversify PoTeMs in the future!
Interested in chemo-enzymatic synthesis; or in biosynthetic engineering? Here is our Christmas treat to you: https://t.co/n6cuuhnJJO
This took a while but turned out very nicely. Thanks to everyone involved, including @ManuEinsiedler, @sschneider_lab, Sebastian and team PoTeM!
What a nice pre-christmas present: This fascinating and complex project of my colleague and good friend Basti about extending PoTeM structural space using two different approaches; now published in ACIE! Challenging chemistry, but totally worth the effort!

A new paper resulting from our collaboration with ICESI university in Colombia was just published by MCF. Factories. It concerns the optimization of secondary metabolite production during fermentation of an endopytic fungus. Congrats to all coauthors!
I am very proud to share a long story on lectins and biofilm imaging just published in @JACS_Au by Eva and Lisa in cooperation with many colleagues such as @AnneImberty @SueSK001 😍 #glycotime#chembio#AMR please have a look here: https://t.co/ZyFMu6wfLh
So glad to see our work about the synthesis and biological activity characterisation of benzodiazepinediones resulting in the discovery and fine-tuning of their interference with bacterial quorum sensing now out in @OrgBiomolChem! https://t.co/PsDsJD5JtY
Hope you enjoy the read!
Thanks for the invitation by @CarlNising to visit the @BayerDialog site in Wuppertal and giving a @GDCh_aktuell lecture there yesterday! This was an amazing day!
Congratulations Lena and lab @barra_lena! What a beautiful piece of work to start your independent publication record! Very much looking forward to everything to come from your team over the next decades 👍
Happy to share our first independent work just out @angew_chem: Natural methyl analogs of central sesquiterpenes widespread in actinobacteria! Exciting enzyme chemistry. Curious why they exist. A hidden "magic methyl effect" in the terpene world? https://t.co/2WAtbaLSdQ
📢 Our first paper on hydrogen isotope exchange in structured solutions is out in @angew_chem 🍾 Many thanks to Yang, Jonny & Martin and the labs @RalfTonner and Asmis! This was only possible with such a great team @123H_RTG! 👏 https://t.co/5eQQdkOOZT
🎉A great day at the @NatProdReports Editorial Board meeting. Wonderful to see so many of the board in person to talk about the exciting future of the journal!
Looking forward to listening to their talks tomorrow at the journal's 40th anniversary symposium
