@Logicalpriroity @AyakaMods FFVII wasn't the only game where Tifa appeared in her classic outfit. On FFVII, her battle model had more detail and a less chibi look (you showed the field model), although PS1 3D models still had technical limitations. Comparing by using her artwork is a much better reference.

The swimsuit, which was toned down according to one of the game's artists, doesn’t change that her main outfit has more coverage now. Showing cleavage up top doesn’t mean they didn’t tone down the lower body.

We've had bikini armor in the franchise before. Regardless of the reason for the change, this specific concern didn't exist back then.
